Everyone is invited to the Spring Band Concert on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 7:00 P.M. The concert will feature the Concert Band, and the Guitar, Percussion, Jazz and Wind ensembles.
March is "Music In Our Schools" month and to celebrate the band department will present a concert this Thursday, March 1st at 7:00 P.M. The concert will feature the concert band, percussion ensemble, jazz ensemble and wind ensemble.
Everyone is Invited to share in the students' talents.
The goal of this concert is to raise awareness of the importance of music education for all children - and to remind citizens that school is where all children should have access to music.
Performing Pieces will include the following:
Eternal Peaks - A musical image of the Rocky Mountains, including avalanche
Children of Sanchez - A Chuck Mangione jazz classic
Ireland: Of Legend & Lore - A Celtic Folksong medley

Congratulations to the Marching Knights for an outstanding job this past Saturday at JMU's Parade of Champions. The competition featured 50 of the best bands in Virginia. The Marching Knights placed 1st in their class and received additional awards for Best Music, Best Marching and Best Color Guard. To date the band has received 14 awards this season. Great job Marching Knights!
Congratulations to the Marching Knights for an outstanding job at the Shenandoah Valley Marching Invitational at Harrisonburg HS this past Saturday. The band placed 1st in their class and received awards for Best Music, Best Marching, and 2nd in General Effect. Also, the Marching Knights qualified for finals competition by placing in the top 8 band for the entire day regardless of size. The band placed 5th in finals, competing with bands 2 to 3 times our size. Great Job Marching Knights!

The band placed 1st in their class, competing with Stonewall Jackson, Buffalo Gap, Rappahannock County, Heritage, and Spotswood high schools. The band also took 4 of the special awards for best music, best marching, best general effect and best percussion. Great Job Marching Knights!
