The debate and forensic teams did a great job at last night’s ShenVaFL tournament. This was the largest tournament of the season so far, with 270 students from 18 schools. First place winners were Zach Dolack in Student Congress and Parker Estes and Seth Stapel in Policy Debate. Second place medals went to Danielle Cave and Ellie Miller in Policy Debate. Third place medals went Kaelyn Spickler in Student Congress and Ben Neher in Extemporaneous Speaking. Also placing were the following: Emily Villacrusis, fifth in Humorous Interpretation; Emily Howe, sixth in Dramatic Interpretation, Gabriela Leija, sixth in Student congress; and Kelly Rohrer and Rachel Moore, sixth in Public Forum. A special shout out to Patrick Martin who competed for the first time in Student Congress and qualified for the Champions Tournament. Great job by everyone!
