The TAHS National Honor Society is having a bake sale this Saturday (05/14/16) at Bridgewater Foods Supermarket from 10:00-5:00. A reminder to those signed up to bake, please drop off items in Mrs. Cullers’ room after school on Friday until 4 o’clock or at Bridgewater Foods on Saturday from 9:30-10:00. All are welcome to come enjoy homemade baked goods and help support our TA community.
Congratulations to the following TA TSA members who placed in state competition at the Virginia TSA Technosphere held at the Richmond Convention Center this past weekend (May 6-8, 2016). The team of Jenny Heatwole, Joe Satterwhite placed 3rd in Music Production, the team of Sam Anderson, Adrian Valadez, Austin Back, Grant King, Aidan Parsley placed 3rd in Principles of Technology. TA TSA members were finalists in 14 different competitions which resulted in a 5th place finish overall out of about 60 high school chapters. A special shout out to TA TSA freshmen rookie competitors Ian Phillips, who impressed everyone with his leadership of the On Demand Video team, and Justin Ridder, who had the best looking CO2 dragster at the high school level.
