For this Christmas, Tri-M will be holding a canned food drive. Tri-M members are encouraged to bring in canned food items to our club meeting on Wednesday. Students are also encouraged to participate in the drive and can bring items to Mr. Dunlap's room 102. The drive will continue until December 18.

On Friday, November 10, 2017, members of Turner Ashby DECA competed at the district leadership conference at the Valley Mall. Everyone did a great job and represented TA in a professional manner! Hannah Hirtriter won two 1st place medals- one in retail marketing and the other in Business Service marketing. Patrick Ritchie scored a hat-trick and won all three of his events. He placed first in marketing communications, accounting applications and human resources. Next DECA will compete at the state leadership conference in Virginia Beach in March. Way to go TA DECA!

The Turner Ashby FCCLA is selling the Texas Roadhouse Dinner Rolls again as a fundraiser. Cost is $4 per dozen and you will be given a voucher in which you can pickup the bread either hot-&-ready or frozen (with directions to bake later) from November 20th-23rd. See any of my students to purchase or you are welcome to email me and I will send someone down.
Don't want to pick them up yourself? I will be available to pick up anyone's order of frozen rolls on Monday, November 20th and will have available in my classroom for you to retrieve on Tuesday, November 21st. Just let me know if you would like to take advantage of this as I will need your voucher to take with me.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have a very special large group meeting this Thursday morning in the lecture room. We will be packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Through this program, millions of Christmas boxes have been delivered to children in impoverished nations during the Christmas season. Join us with your own donations of toys and games or join us to help pack boxes to send to those in need for the holidays! Please see Mrs. Whittaker or any FCA officer with questions.
Do you have something you would like to have personalized? Do you have an embroidered gift in mind for Christmas?
The Turner Ashby FCCLA is offering embroidery services in room 129. The cost is $1 per 1000 stitches (the pictured examples ranged from $5-$10). You will need to supply the item that is being embroidered and it must be able to lay flat (at this point, our machine can not perform on rounded materials). Stop by or email to discuss the possibility of your design.
