Congratulations to the following FBLA members for placing in regional competition: Ross French placed 3rd in Insurance and Risk Management, Ammara Sheikh placed 3rd in Introduction to Business Communication, and Will Shomo took 1st
place in Introduction to Business. Will is eligible to advance to state competition held in Reston on Saturday, April 10th. Thanks to all FBLA members who competed regionally.
The Mixed Chorale received an Excellent Rating and the TA Singers and Chamber Singers received a Superior Rating at Choral Assessments Saturday (03/21/15). The Marching Band and Wind Ensemble have also received Superior Ratings this year, making Turner Ashby a Blue Ribbon School in music. This is the first time we have received this distinction!
Last Saturday (3/21/15) the Conference 29 Debate Tournament was held at Harrisonburg High School. Lauren Onestak, Parker Estes, Rachel Moore, Kelly Rohrer, Maressa Cortes, Leland Stevens and Avi Pandey represented TA in the areas of Policy Debate, Public Forum Debate and Lincoln Douglas Debate. Congratulations are in order! Lauren and Parker took 1st place in Policy, Rachel and Kelly took 2nd in Public Forum, Leland took 5th and is Alternate for Regions, Maressa took 2nd and Avi took 1st in Lincoln Douglas.
Our debate team has won the Conference Tournament for the second year in a row! Way to go TA!

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Lady Knights Soccer teams on their opening season wins against the Hornets of Orange County. Come out and support your ladies on Saturday against Sherando! JV plays at 10:00 A.M. and Varsity plays at 1:00 P.M.

The TA Lady Knights won the Virginia 3A Basketball Championship over Broadway High School Wednesday, March 11, 2015. This is the third state title for the Lady Knights, who won in 1998 and again in 1999.
Mr. Lovell was named Coach of the Year by the Virginia High School League for Girls' 3A basketball. This season also saw Coach Rob Lovell's 400th career win.

The TA Lady Knights won over Petersburg High School in their state semi-final game on Tuesday afternoon. They will face Broadway High School in the second game of the state 3A finals on Wednesday night at VCU's Siegel Center.
