In the State Finals for Softball on Friday, June 14, 2019, the Turner Ashby Lady Knights finished in second place. They lost to Liberty High School 4-1. Congratulations on a great season ladies!
TA wins 11-0 against Skyline High School to advance to the 3A State Finals! They will take on Liberty High School tomorrow Friday, June 14, 2019, at the Moyer Complex in Salem. Game time is 9:00 A.M.

The Debate program finished third at the AAA State competition on Saturday, April 20, 2019. Seth Stapel and Barrett Gay were the state champions in Policy Debate! Elsa Waidelich and Abby Villacrusis were also state medalists (3rd Policy Debate). Also competing for the Knights were Allison Miller (4th Student Congress), Brandon Onestack (6th Lincoln Douglas), and Austin Moody (11th Student Congress).

Kendra Dodrill competed in the 'Say Yes to FCS' event and received a gold medal and trophy for her 1st place, perfect score. She will be advancing on to Nationals and will represent Turner Ashby and the state of Virginia as she compete on the national level.
Tori Moats participated in the leadership events as our chapter president and served FCCLA as a judge of competitive events.
Jordan Bridges, who is the 2018-2019 Vice President of Public Relations, and her state officer team created and implemented an incredible leadership conference! We appreciate her amazing year of representing Turner Ashby High School and Virginia FCCLA this past year as a state officer. This was a lot of work and responsibility and we are so pleased with her efforts!
Congratulations to the Forensics Team which finished fourth at the VHSL State Tournament this past Saturday. Ian Phillips placed 2nd in Prose, Emily Villacrusis took 2nd in Humorous Interpretation, Ben Neher was 3rd in Extemporaneous Speaking and Abby Villacrusis was 4th in Storytelling. A special congratulations to seniors Ian, Emily and Ben; over the past three years, they have combined for eight State Tournament appearances, resulting in one 1st place finish, six 2nd places and one 3rd.
Congratulations to all the band students who auditioned this past Saturday with over 1,000 of the best musicians in the state for a spot in the All-State Band and Orchestra. Emma Manning was selected to the All-Virginia Concert Band on flute and will participate in the event in April in Richmond. Congratulations Emma Manning.
