Now that winter is upon us, many people in our community (particularly the homeless) are in need of warm clothes (especially socks). The PBIS Team is sponsoring a “Socks and Coats Drive” to support Our Community Place. Let’s show how much we care here at TA. Donations of socks and coats can be brought to Mr. Atwood’s room. A collection box will soon be placed outside of Mr. Atwood’s class (145) and in the large commons during lunch.
The PBIS team would like to thank the many people who have donated to the socks and coats drive. To date we have collected 26 coats and 87 pairs of socks and a variety of other winter items. Thank you for your generosity towards the less fortunate members of our community. Anyone who still wants to contribute may do so (socks are the most needed items). A collection box can be found outside of Mr. Atwood’s room (145).

TA students: the PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) team will be sponsoring a class competition during the month of October. The class with the fewest discipline referrals for disrespect will be eligible for a drawing for five gift cards / certificates. The five winning students will be announced during the morning announcements on November 4th. Do the Knight Thing and the Right Thing and be a leader in your class that demonstrates respect to you fellow students, faculty / staff and to the physical environment here at TA.
