On Tuesday, May 16, TA will be having "Sports Physical Night" at Sentara/RMH Orthopedics from 4:30 - 6:30 P.M. They will be providing physicians to do sports physicals for upcoming 7th-12th grade athletes. All athletes participating in any off-season or summer work outs must have a current physical on file. This physical is good for summer 2017 workouts and the 2017-2018 school year.
The cost is $20 and will be accepted in cash or check payable to TAHS. The parent/guardian must fill out pages 1, 2 and 4 COMPLETELY before the physical is done. We encourage athletes to ride one of the buses provided to go to the physicals. Roundtrip busses leave TA at 4:10 and at 5:45. Please sign up for Physical Night in the office and pick up a blank 2017 VHSL form along with a bus permission slip, if desired. Return permission slips to Heather Fincham's mailbox in the office.
For the 1st time since 1995 and only the 2nd time in school history, the Turner Ashby Girl’s Tennis Team has qualified for regional play. The girls earned their spot by defeating Broadway 5-1. Solid wins were enjoyed by Allison Mace, Brynn Kiser, Carter Young, Emma Nesselrodt (on her birthday!) and Marlene Hoover. GoTA!
