Congratulations to the Knights gymnastics team for their domination last night against Harrisonburg HS and Orange County HS. They finished in 1st place as a team. They also swept the top three places in Uneven Bars, Beam, and Floor; and they took 1st, 2nd and 4th places in Vault. Special congratulations to Shelby Harrod and Katelin Simmers for finishing 1st and 2nd in the All-Around. Excellent job ladies!
After a great show of support last week, the HHS Athletic Department will again offer $1 admission to fans that bring in non- perishable food items to help the Brent Berry Annual Food Drive collect food to feed the hungry in our area. Any fan bringing at least one non-perishable food item (more is appreciated) will receive a $1 admission ticket to the Varsity Girls' and Boys' games tonight at HHS. Girls tip at 6:00 P.M. and boys at around 7:45 P.M. This extends to both Harrisonburg and Turner Ashby fans, so please, everyone show your support for Brent and his monumental efforts to help folks in our local community. In addition, the HHS Key Club will monitor all donations and choose a fan from the school that donates the most food tonight, and that lucky fan will win gift card compliments of HHS Key Club. Come out for great basketball and to support a winning cause in the valley.
